• The preschool program at WES utilizes The Creative Curriculum which is a comprehensive research-based curriculum. Its objectives for development and learning span from birth through third grade. 1. Social-Emotional
    2. Physical
    3. Language
    4. Cognitive
    5. Literacy
    6. Mathematics
    7. Science and Technology
    8. Social Studies
    9. The Arts
    10. English Language Acquisition

This program gives young students a high-quality learning environment, offers exploration and discovery as a way of learning, and through that learning helps their confidence and creativity and critical thinking skills. While we plan activities that impact every developmental area of learning, the program reflects a wider emphasis on literacy, numeracy, and personal/social development. Since high quality preschool programs promote long-term academic achievement, we acknowledge that very young children learn best in experiential environments; therefore, our curriculum is embedded in open-ended play with an emphasis on exploration, creativity, and problem-solving.
